  • Water procurement and purification
  • Shelter building
  • Compass and navigation
  • Tent and bug-out bag basics
  • Look at firearms for survival

What to Bring

  • Water
  • Bag lunch and snacks
  • Tote or backpack for lunch and snacks
  • Insect repellent
  • Hat (optional)
  • Old socks and t-shirt (that you no longer wear)

What to Wear

  • Cool and comfortable light-weight clothing
  • Khakis or other light-weight pants (no jeans)
  • Cool, light-weight long-sleeve shirt
  • Hiking boots (if you don’t have boots, wear tennis shoes)
  • No open-toed shoes or dresses
